It has straps for securing it across your waist and chest when worn as a backpack, and several handles so that you can carry, hang, and toss it however you need to. It fit perfectly into the overhead carryon bin, behind a car seat, etc. With all the pouches, compartments, and pockets, I was able to separate and organize my things for quick access. I commute and travel rather often, so this bag will definitely get to flex its versatility often. If you’re on the fence about this item, I strongly suggest you just do it. You can always return it, but I doubt that will be the case.
